On the occasion of the feasts in honor of Saint Clare of Assisi, the Church of Santa Clara is pleased to organize a commemorative concert for this date.
The concert by the baroque music ensemble โMetรกfora das Floresโ and directed by Magna Ferreira will take place at August 10, at 6pm, in Santa Clara’s Church, in Oporto.
A work by Marcos Portugal composed in 1820 for the community of nuns who then lived in the monastic complex in which this church was integrated, will be performed. A work of rare spirituality and beauty, written by the most international of Portuguese composers of the 18th century.
There will also be the release of the CD โ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐ณ๐จ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ฆ ๐ ๐ฏ๐จ๐ณโ, a work by ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ข ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐จ ๐๐ ๐๐ฬ๐จ ๐๐จ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐, performed by the ensemble โMetรกfora das Floresโ and directed by Magna Ferreira.
